Last month radio producer Amy Standen and I spent time hanging out in Bolinas with winemaker Sean Thackrey and his assistants, Brian and Andreas. The result was a visual/audio story that was shown live at pop-up magazine's sidebar show at SFMOMA. we hope to get the full audio/video piece online soon (thought it's not really the same as seeing it in person - it never is), right now you can see it as a Meanwhile piece on The Rumpus.

Pop-Up Magazine is having it's first sidebar show at SFMOMA on Thursday, March 17.

If you have been to Pop-Up before, then i'm sure you already have plans to go. If you have been one of the people who have wanted to go but have been unable to get tickets, i'm sure you're going, too. this is the doorstep of what is now Zeitgeist, but was once ice cream shop that doubled as a speakeasy during the prohibition years. ice cream was served upstairs, booze down below. the original tile entry remains.
