A couple months ago i spent some time on tour with Thao & Mirah, drawing the behind the scenes stuff. (you might know them from their respective work - thao is thao of thao with the get down stay down, and mirah is mirah of mirah.)
At long last i'm putting together a little drawing documentary on their tour, and on being an independent musician in general. It'll be like a mini-meanwhile - i'll post it this friday on the rumpus.
Meantime, check out their music.

Oh, not much. Just spent the weekend in New York making a magazine, a website and a radio show with the best minds of my generation.
Longshot Magazine Issue 2 is out, and i am so, so impressed by the many hundrends of people who submitted excellent stories and artwork - and all the folks who edited, designed, fact checked, developed, recorded, programmed the heck out of a print/audio/web magazine in 48 hours.
You can see it online here.
You can buy the gorgeous print version here.
You can listen to Longshot radio here.
And you can read a piece about the collaboration (see below) between Michelle Legro of Lapham's Quarterly, Atlantic, etc Maria Popova of Brainpickings and myself on page 14 here.
I'll post some drawings I did for the magazine as well as an illustrated documentary about the making of the magazine soon. but in the meantime, please check out the links above and consider supporting Longshot by purchasing an print issue or sharing the links with your friends.
The afore mentioned collaboration (but you really should see it in print) :
