Five from the commute, and one escaping it (revealing the inaccuracies of my depictions).

I really like your art. Thanks for posting it!

Your drawings are wonderful and I love the idea of the "routine world" out of which they come. Do you ever interact with your subjects? Some seem to be looking at you.

Wendy, I saw your work on Moleskinerie and then checked out your blog, your work is amazing. I had a couple of questions about your work but do not want to take up space here, do you have an email that I could write to?
Thanks, Greg

Gene - no, i don't usually interact with people beyond looking at them. it seems like most people avoid eye contact at all cost in enclosed public spaces like the subway, so if they notice me looking at them, they firmly fix their eyes on anything besides me. so that is a sort of interaction, i suppose. others will smile, seem shy or proud. a few ask what i'm doing, but usually at the end of their ride on their way out the door. and one person has become angry (see October 12, 2006 entry).

Greg - thanks and of course: wendy.mac@mac.com.
